Creatine PRO Creapure® provides 100% Creapure® quality creatine monohydrate, and is suitable for adult athletes who exercise intensively: creatine is able to enhance physical performance in the case of repetitive activities, improves maximal power during exercise and reduces the onset of fatigue. It is one of the sports supplements with the most scientific studies supporting its efficacy, and Creapure® quality guarantees the purity of the starting material.
Creatine (from the Greek κρέας = meat) is an amino acid derivative that is naturally present in the body. Its concentration increases with muscle mass. It is present in foods of animal origin, but is also produced by our bodies in the liver, kidneys and pancreas. Once synthesised or taken in through food or a supplement, it is picked up by muscle tissue and stored in the muscles. As a matter of fact, creatine, when phosphorylated into phosphocreatine, constitutes one of the muscle energy stores, used for rapid and intense muscle contractions. From a metabolic perspective, it helps to meet the demands of anaerobic alactacid metabolism. In sports settings it is used as an ergogenic support**, but it also appears to have antioxidant and cardioprotective effects. On a practical level, it affords better recovery between sets (weight room or calisthenics) and between repetitions for speed athletes, glycogen saving and better compensation between workouts.
What does Creapure® quality mean?
Creapure® is the world-renowned premium brand of creatine.
Production is carried out to exacting quality standards and results in the purest micronised creatine monohydrate on the market: Indeed, Creapure® uses a production process that ensures a product that is free of impurities and unnecessary by-products. This results in 99.99% pure creatine monohydrate, which ensures maximum effectiveness and safety. The exclusive production process also prevents contamination by various microbiological substances and heavy metals. The high quality of Creapure® is guaranteed by its very high purity and at the same time very low content of three substances: creatinine, dicyanamide and dihydrotriazine (results obtained by HPLC analysis).
How does Creatine PRO Creapure® differ from other creatine sources?
The production conditions and the choice and treatment of the starting materials, which determine the quality of the creatine monohydrate. For example, poor quality starting materials or an excessively fast decrease in water content during recrystallisation can result in high amounts of creatinine, dicyandiamide and dihydrotriazine (the three main contaminants of creatine). The production of Creapure® is subject to stringent standards, and the manufacturing plant is GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and FDA (Food and Drug Administration) notified.
The typical values obtained from Creapure® analyses are as follows:
- Creatine monohydrate: min. 99.95 %
- Creatinine: < 67 ppm
- Dicyanidamide (DCD): < 30 ppm
- Dihydrotriazine (DHT): not measurable.
Creapure® is a registered trademark and is synonymous with high-quality creatine monohydrate in the form of a fine, colourless powder with a particle size suited to direct compression.
Is it safe to take creatine? Can I really take it for long periods?**
Excess creatine is considered safe, as even when abundant, this molecule cannot be converted into fatty acids. In scientific literature, it is reported as being effective and without side effects when taken continuously.
For whom is creatine recommended?
The ergogenic and hypertrophic effects of creatine monohydrate are not only useful for
bodybuilding and
gym workouts, but also in other sports activities, such as
cross training, powerlifting, short-distance track disciplines (such as 100- and 200-metre sprints),
hurdles, calisthenics and many more besides.
DIRECTION (1 serving = 3 tablets)
Take 3 tablets once a day with water.
The guidelines on creatine use merely state that it is best taken NOT on an empty stomach and in a continuous manner, preferably with the intake of other nutrients. Excess creatine is considered ‘safe’, as even when abundant, this molecule cannot be converted into fatty acids.
The literature recommends two different intake strategies:
LOW-DOSE DAILY INTAKE: 3-5 g creatine per day
WITH A LOADING PHASE: peak intake from 1 week to 20 days with 20 g/day (to be split into 4 daily intakes of 5 g each): followed by a maintenance phase with the consistent intake of 3-5 g/day.
STORAGE
Store in cool, dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
