Collagen is a protein, so it is built up by amino acids. In our bodies, collagen is mostly accumulated in the skin, teeth, joints and gums. Collagen protein gives the skin its special elasticity and firmness. In the skin, type I and type III collagen are the most abundant.

As we get older, more and more of our skin cells will die and become damaged - when cells are damaged, various cellular components are damaged, including the collagen that builds skin cells, which in turn promotes the formation of wrinkles. Collagen supplementation helps reverse the wrinkle formation process by allowing damaged collagen proteins to repair themselves. In this way, collagen fights the formation of wrinkles and makes the skin supple and firm.

Furthermore, studies have shown that it reduces inflammation in our body. As chronic (long-term) low levels of inflammation further damage skin cells, this allows anti-inflammatory collagen to protect and keep our skin looking good - albeit to a lesser extent, but it can amplify its effect on the skin.

For the most effective benefit, we use it in supplement form, and we also offer collagen supplements specifically for skin and beauty care, which contain added antioxidant ingredients (such as vitamin C, astaxanthin, turmenic, etc.). Antioxidants protect cells from further damage by neutralising free radicals, which is why collagen beauty products both keep skin firm and portect against wrinkles.

If you don't want to take a powder or pill, you can also take the collagen your skin needs in the form of a very tasty and convenient gummy treat.

When spread on the skin, collagen can have a direct effect, which is why it is recommended to use collagen supplements in combination with creams. We also offer collagen-containing anti-wrinkle creams that are made from 100% natural ingredients, free of BPA, parabens and artificial hormones (xenoestrogens and others).
