It takes its name from its claw-shaped spines, which resemble the curved claws of cats. Cat's claw is a medicinal herb that has antiviral, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, thus supporting the immune system. Due to its antioxidant content, taking cat's claw as a supplement to the diet is extremely good for treating infections or strengthening the immune system, but its benefits are also well known for people suffering from high blood pressure.
