What is Eyebright?

The common name Eyebright refers to the long history of use of Euphrasia officinalis to support eye health. The plant is an annual that grows up to 9 inches high and has small purple or white flowers that bloom in late summer and autumn. It is found in the wild in grassy meadows in Europe and North America, and is gathered in late summer while in full flower. Eyebright has many naturally occurring components which exhibit astringent and cleansing actions.
