This is also important because Saw palmetto products are often adulterated, as indicated by their inadequate fatty acid content or ratio. Our product also contains MCT oil and, to enhance its effectiveness, we have enriched it with our world patented BioPerine® black pepper extract, which has been proven to help other botanical ingredients work more effectively. WHAT IS SAW PALMETTO?
Saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) is a palm-like plant that grows as a tree or shrub. It gets its name from its serrated leaf stems, which look like a saw. The fruit of the saw palmetto, berries rich in fatty acids and plant sterols, are a scientifically proven supporter of prostate health. In the VIII Hungarian Pharmacopoeia, saw palmetto fruit is the official.
WHY ARE SAW PALMETTO EXTRACTS ADULTERATED?
Saw palmetto is a wild medicinal plant that grows only in a specific part of North and Central America, and cannot survive or be cultivated elsewhere. The yield of saw palmetto is weather dependent, which inhibits the formation and ripening of the fruit. Precipitation from rainfall hinders pollination and also increases exposure to fungal infections.
As a result, yields vary from year to year, but even in years with better yields, they have great difficulty in meeting the industry's needs. For this reason, saw palmetto products are adulterated (e.g. substituted with another plant), which alters the composition and proportion of fatty acids and thus the physiological properties.
SAW PALMETTO OIL OR POWDERED PALM OIL?
Tablets or capsules containing saw palmetto powder usually have a lower (e.g. 25%, 45%) fatty acid content compared to oil extracts produced by supercritical CO2 extraction. This is important because saw palmetto extracts are required by the American Pharmacopoeia to contain at least 80% fatty acid and 22-34% lauric acid.

MODERN EXTRACTION TECHNIQUE AND ITS IMPACT ON THE PHARMACOLOGICAL PROFILE OF SAW PALMETTO EXTRACTS
The qualitative and quantitative composition of the bioactive compounds in saw palmetto berries depends on the extraction procedure, which is why some brands of products derived from saw palmetto berries differ in terms of physiological efficacy.
In the patented supercritical CO2 extraction process, carbon dioxide is converted to a liquid form using low temperature and high pressure, becoming a safe and effective solvent that allows the extraction of all the beneficial active constituents of saw palmetto berries without the risk of thermal degradation or residual solvent in the final extract. The extraction is environmentally friendly, after completion the carbon dioxide is converted back to its natural gas state, leaving only the extracted "essence" of the valuable saw palmetto fruit.
WHAT IS THE PROSTATE?
The prostate gland, also known as the thymus, is the male gland located in the pelvis. 3. Relaxation and double voiding techniques are recommended when urinating. Shaking and gentle squeezing of the urethra is recommended to avoid dribbling after urination.
4. Urinary complaints can be controlled by using various techniques. For example, squeezing, breathing exercises or applying pressure to the perineum. Mental tricks can help to take your mind off the unpleasant irritation.
5. Exercising the bladder is recommended. This will increase bladder capacity and may help to hold urine when there is an urgent urge to urinate. Exercising the bladder may increase the time between urination.
