• Fennel is a perennial or biennial herbaceous plant of the family Apiaceae. The main constituents of the essential oil of fennel fruit are trans-anethole (55-75%) and fenchone (12-25%). In the tazman oil of the herb, trans-anethole (45-78%) and fenchone (10-25%) are present in higher amounts, along with α-pinene (2-11%). Fennel supports the healthy functioning of the digestive tract and helps with bloating and abdominal cramps.
