Exposure to allergens can trigger a strong immune response that triggers complex inflammatory processes involving histamine release*. These can manifest in a wide variety of symptoms, such as:
- respiratory reactions (e.g. nasal congestion, coughing, sneezing, etc.),
- any allergic reaction on the skin, such as rash, itching, redness, eczema, rosacea, etc,
- inflammation of the eyes and mucous membranes,
- digestive complaints such as reflux, abdominal bloating, diarrhoea, etc.,
- cardiovascular symptoms such as rapid heartbeat, high blood pressure, anaphylaxis (hypersensitivity reaction), etc,
- nervous system symptoms such as dizziness, migraine, headache, anxiety,
...and the list is far from complete!
Therefore, when it comes to reducing allergic reactions, it is worth taking a more comprehensive approach.
How is WTN AllergeNIXTM unique?
WTN AllergeNIXTM has a significantly broader spectrum of action than most products on the market for similar purposes. This is partly due to the inclusion of effective but expensive ingredients (e.g. sulforaphane, rutin, etc.) that are truly effective in treating allergy symptoms.
- It contains a particularly high concentration (1000 mcg/capsule) of the biologically active substance sulforaphane, which is sure to work (as opposed to the cheaper sulforaphane precursor glucoraphane). In addition to its anti-inflammatory properties, sulforaphane can help neutralise the harmful by-products (ammonia and hydrogen peroxide) of histamine breakdown.
- The anti-inflammatory effect is complemented by quercetin, rutin and large nettle concentrate, which have antihistamine properties and can not only inhibit the enzymes that trigger inflammation, but also block the release of histamine, which causes allergic symptoms.
- Bromelain may contribute to the breakdown of allergenic, inflammatory proteins and increase the absorption of quercetin.
- Luteolin may help relieve allergic symptoms in the eye by becoming active and bioavailable in a form that is readily bioavailable through rutin.
- Rutin may reduce the permeability of capillaries to histamine, thus relieving allergic symptoms.
- Large nettle concentrate can help relieve congestion, reduce watery eyes and runny nose.
How can the active ingredients in WTN AllergeNIXTM reduce allergy symptoms?
Allergic reactions are processes involving histamine release. Histamine is released in the acute phase of inflammation (mostly from mast cells) and also in hypersensitivity (allergic) reactions.
Chronic inflammation lurking in the body can in itself raise the body's histamine levels, which in pollen-sensitive people, for example, can be fuel for the fire.
For this reason, we felt it was very important to combine antioxidants that reduce inflammation with active ingredients that inhibit histamine release and support the elimination of by-products of histamine breakdown, to support the immune system.
There are several pillars for symptom reduction and effective situation management:
1. Neutralisation of harmful substances produced during histamine breakdown
Neutralising the harmful compounds (hydrogen peroxide and ammonia) formed during histamine breakdown is a neglected sub-area in most products created to alleviate allergy symptoms, but it is very important to neutralise the harmful compounds (hydrogen peroxide and ammonia) formed during histamine breakdown to relieve the burden on our body! Among the substances we know of, sulforaphane extracted from broccoli is the most effective for this purpose.
Sulforaphane (from broccoli)- Can have broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity,
- may support detoxification processes,
- can contribute to the elimination of by-products from histamine breakdown,
- relieve inflammation of the upper respiratory tract,
- reduce oxidative stress.
2. Reducing histamine release
Quercetin (from the inflorescence of the japonica)- May stabilize mast cells, thereby slowing histamine release,
- may prevent excessive activity of pro-inflammatory substances,
- may even downregulate enzymes that trigger inflammation.
3. Reducing inflammation and irritation
Large nettle concentrate 5:1- May inhibit the body's production of histamine and associated inflammation,
- May reduce runny nose, watery nose, watery eyes,
- may be an expectorant and respiratory relief.
For nettle concentrate, it is best to use as broad-spectrum an extract as possible, so highly concentrated products may be less effective than less concentrated ones (e.g. 5:1 is more effective than 100:1).
Luteolin
- It mainly accumulates in the skin and eyes, so it can reduce irritation to the eyes, for example,
- slow down the formation of mucus in the respiratory tract,
- is utilized and becomes biologically active by the rutin also found in the product.
Rutin (from the inflorescence of the Japanese acacia)
- May have powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects,
- may reduce the permeability of blood vessels by strengthening the vascular walls (histamine increases the permeability of capillaries, which can lead to oedema).
4. Break down inflammatory proteins
Bromelain enzyme (from pineapple)
- Can help break down proteins into amino acids, thus supporting the defence against allergic substances of a protein nature,
- may relieve nasal congestion, aid mucus clearance,
- reduce swelling caused by allergies,
- help the absorption of quercetin.
DIRECTION (1 serving = 1 capsule)
1 capsule per day, preferably between meals, or with a meal in the case of a sensitive digestive system.
