JutaVit Iron-Complex Forte is dietary supplement that contains iron, folic acid, vitamin C and zinc. Iron is an essential mineral that plays central roles in energy production, immune system function, and neurological health. Iron is an essential component of hemoglobin, a molecule that transports oxygen to the cells of the body, and myoglobin, which binds oxygen used in muscle tissues. Folic Acid is a very important member of the B-vitamin family required for DNA synthesis and genetic repair, making an adequate supply essential for rapidly dividing cells, such as red blood cells. Folic Acid is also necessary for the synthesis of methionine from homocysteine and can help to contribute to the healthy function of both the cardiovascular and nervous system. The addition of Vitamin C markedly improves iron absorption.
